So excited I've been kindly nominated by Lucie from Lifeenthusiasm to do the Liebster Award. Please check out her blog, she was super kind to nominate me. "The Liebster Award is for bloggers with under 300 followers and the rules of the award is that the nominee must link back to whoever awarded them, write 11 random facts about themselves, answer the 11 questions from the award giver, and then nominate another 11 bloggers and make up 11 questions for them to answer. It's a great way for new and undiscovered bloggers to meet new people, get more followers and find some blogs that they want to follow."  So here goes nothing!

Eleven Facts about Moi- I'm going to try make it a little interesting so these things you may not necessarily know about me:

  • I play the piano, and wish I could play the guitar.
  • I really love photography and have an instagram dedicated to it: wildvagabondss. Therefore I mess around with my camera settings a lot, as well as photoshop. Brooke Shaden + Alex Stoddard are my favourite photographers right now- they are so good at manipulation
  • I'd love to be a journalist but I'd also love to be a lawyer or a doctor.
  • I wear eyeliner most days, unless I'm ill or it's the summer holiday and I got no where to be.
  • On school days and days that I'm bothered to get out of my pyjamas it takes me roughly 10-15 minutes to style an outfit that I really like- this includes accessories and everything.
  • I have a lot of pet peeves, one of them being people who use the terms 'need' and 'deserve' a lot. I mean I get that you need certain things but it's so over used when you are talking about materilistic things.
  • I'm only 5 1.2 ft tall and I hate it. I wish I was like 5ft 7/8.
  • I love the sea, especially surfing.
  • I want to travel all continents before I'm 21, and travel the world before I die.
  • I hate it when people say that photographers and  bloggers are hipster . I mean wutt.
  • I'm currently reading 'The Great Gatsby' by F.Scott Fitzgerald, I absolutely adore the film.
1. Five things what you need to have in your hand bag?
I have a whole post dedicated to what's in my hand bag, narrowed down it would have to be: my purse, phone, my earphones, water bottle, camera
3. Cat or dog? That's asking puppies or kittens, it's impossible.
4. The most popular color? I think this means favourite, if so then teal
5. What gift to buy a friend? umm depends which friend it is
6. What is your MUST HAVE for fall? Parker Jacket
7. Favorite store? Going to change this to stores :P Zara, Topshop, New Look
8. Summer or winter? Winter as that's when my birthday is
9. What is your favorite cocktail? Sorry, I'm not legally allowed to drink yet.
10. What did you want to be when you grew up? Well I'm not a grown up yet but when I was little I used to want to be a writer, artist or doctor. Now I want to be either a photographer, journalist, lawyer or doctor- so indecisive I know.

The 11 questions that I came up with are:

Favourite place to go for inspiration?

Which designer is your favourite?
What scent is your favourite?
Makeup must haves?
Fashion must haves for all seasons?

dawn before dusk + kind of a shoe review

Here are some outfit shots from yesterday, unfortunately summer's gone now in England leaving behind humidity and constant rain. Therefore resulting me in wearing a thick cardigan, and starting to layer- I can't wait for autumn hence the autumnal feel these pictures have. I'm super stocked, if you remember my second post I talked about a certain purchase I made which I was really please with, hint hint- they're on my feet. Yeah not so good on my savings behalf but I caved and had to splurge on these bad boys. They are the Jeffrey Campbell HOMG's and they are stunning, sadly I don't have a shoe shot of them yet but I'm sure they'll be featuring in coming blog posts. I got these Jeffrey Campbell's for a really good price on either karmaloop.com or nastygal.com- not entirely sure but it was a great deal, they were only around the £75- £80 which seems a lot for shoes, but for Jeffrey Campbell's they are pretty well priced. Though they did have shipping fee which bumped it up around a tenner or so but still I don't regret them, they are a really good sturdy pair of sneakers as they have such thick solid heel but they upper part is also really well made. I have worn them to death already and I've only owned them for about a month. They are super comfortable and easy to walk in although I would say that you may want to size up half a size, on the website they say they are suited to narrow feet. I don't particularly think I have narrow feet but I can still fit in to them so I can't say anything on that behalf although I do know that the upper part which supports your ankle is really narrow, which does make getting them on quite tricky. Overall though I love them to bits, one of my favourite youtuber amyvagabondd has 2 videos about them- a styling video and also a review so you can check that out down below.

The rest of the outfit is quite basic really I've just thrown on my mum's cardigan from French Connection which has a lovely sparse speckle on it, as well as being super comfortable to wear. The cardigan is in a soft colour with different shades of purples and blues running through it. I absolutely love wearing anything a little baggy and I also love how it hit's above knee length. I'm all about comfort. Underneath that I'm wearing a plain white tank which I bought from Topshop a couple of weeks ago, nothing special about it so I can't really elaborate except for the fact Topshop has some really comfortable basics, i.e all sorts tanks, jeans, baggy shirts. Paired with a pair of denim Levi's jeans which I hacked of the legs and made in to a pair of short, since I've had them for quite a while now but never wanted to wear them because somehow they fitted awkwardly on me as a pair of jeans so I just hacked of the legs and took a chance. I was really surprised at how they ended up looking and now they are probably one of my staples which I'm going to be living in.

P.S sorry about the awkward heat cut of shots, I had to crop out my face because I was severely unattractive to the point that someone may have turned to stone from just glimpsing me.

Festival Checklist

cute outfit- wehearit.com
Summer is flying by so fast, and that means festival season is sadly practically over. Anyway hopefully someone may find this blog post useful as there are still few festivals coming up, on the other hand maybe  bookmark this page for next year's festival season. Let's begin!

I'm going to start up with the essentials that are less fashionable, more practicable. To begin with I strongly suggest to anyone who is going to attend a festival is to either wear a pair of sturdy boots or wellington boots, since they are a basic foundation to festival essentials and they come in so handy when it starts to rain and you're surrounded by mud. Another pro for sturdy boots are that they don't usually hurt your feet because they have padding and support for your ankles so you can walk around the whole day and enjoy the actual festival music.
For camping obviously bring a tent as well as a sleeping bag and a pillow, unless you want to be freezing at night. Pretty basic. Change of under wears, socks and bras are another obvious item to bring, don't bring a bra if you're a guy- duh!  Water bottles are like diamonds during a festival, and keeping hydrated is so important especially if the weather is scorching hot. Remember to fill them up- usually there's a water fountain or somewhere you can will them up in the morning before hand so that you have water during the whole day since the food vans there are so overpriced, even for just some water. I recommend a huge water bottle, somewhere between 1l-3l because refilling them during the day can be such a hassle.

Now on to some other essentials that are also necessary. If make-up is on your list then bring minimal make-up and also bring brands that you wouldn't mind chucking away, as sick as it sounds some people apparently just get in to festivals to steal things so keep your valuables safe. The make-up you do bring though is probably going to get really dirty, so maybe bring make-up items that are almost about to run out and that you don't mind throwing away after the festival.
Hairspray is an amazing styling tool during a festival, it's probably the only thing that can keep you from looking some what sane- if you're anything like me and have a lion's mane. Bring a LARGE bottle of hairspray, do not be deceived by the travel hairspray size as hairspray is a necessity. Although at the end the damage the hairspray did is somewhat irreversible, of course chopping few inches off could definitely help heal it.
Deodorant and Perfumes, deodorant for the soul purpose to keep fresh and in tact from the heat, the very least you want is to feel like crap and smell like crap. Fortunately deodorant can easily solve this problem and if it's a spray one it's probably also going to compact the smell of not washing for a couple days ( if you are camping).  Perfumes and body sprays help with this as well and makes you feel fresher and overall better.
Face wipes are basically known as 'the shower during festivals/camping' so at the end of the festival you are probably going to smell like and baby's bottom. Face wipes are overall amazing for both make-up removal as well as general washing your body here and there, and also getting rid of dirt.
Moisturisers- this is something you do not want to forget since you are going to be using face wipes on your face and body everyday for a couple days so your body and face is going to severely dried out. What I'm saying is to bring a large bottle of moisturiser.
A water proof jacket and a sun hat is something you might want to consider as in England the weather is unpredictable so it may be raining all day and then suddenly be scorching hot another. Be prepared. Personally I prefer parkas over just plain waterproof jackets as most of them are waterproof and they also look a lot nicer- topshop and new look have some really nice ones in the autumn/winter season. Parkas can be dressed up or down and they add to the military trend, well that's if you get a khaki green coloured one. For sun hats I like to stick to a fedora hat from ASOS because they protect your eyes from the sun , look really nice, they have a massive rim and also fit in with festival fashion.
Dry Shampoo is something to be considered if your hair gets so greasy that it could fry an egg in the heat  after few days of no shower access*cough* *cough*, so dry shampoo is a must for me- simply spray some in the roots, massage it in and voila your hair has some life to it.
Bring sun cream as most festivals are in the summer, which means the weather is going to be pretty hot so you do not want to burn and look red in front of everyone. Also it prevents skin cancer when you are like 70.
Hand sanitizer for the germ-a-phoebe, keeping hygiene up during a festival is hard since you never no what you are going to be touching, so you do not want to take chances and realise later that you caught a bug from eating some bacteria.
Floral Crowns and Headbands, join in with the new hipster vibe that festivals are getting and just embrace it. Floral crowns are all the rage since Lana Del Ray and Pixie Lott. Styled with wavy hair, which you can fake by sleeping in plaits/buns so bring kirby grips and hair ties, is the perfect fesitval hair do.
Fairly obvious item- sunglasses, since they are needed for extra eye protection from the harmful UVA rays and help you see your favourite artist better, plus they look really cute- especially tortoise shell ones and the ray ban gladiators.

Last but not least bring a camera- which preferably isn't a DSLR or anything too expensive- film camera's are great although processing film can be really expensive, the iPhone camera is pretty sufficient so if you have an iPhone you may not have to bring a camera, some cash- food, water-you never know what you may need cash for, credit card- more money :P, phone- if you are bringing an iPhone for the use of it's camera than definitely bring one, but if not then take something small and cheap so that if it get's lost then it won't be a huge deal and keep everything in a humongous water proof bag pack.

Voila now you have everything you need- minus few bits and bobs! :)

too dumb for new york. too ugly for la.

This post probably won't be the most interesting, but hopefully it'll give you some inspiration like it has to me. I've just gathered few pictures from the web that I found inspirational or I just really adore, I might write a few sentences for each photo or just a few words related. Most of these photos will probably be from tumblr, I'm sorry I don't know where they originate from but if you do own any of these photos than just say so and I'll give you credit. Anyway enjoy this light- hopefully- post! :)

1) Adorable outfit, love those shoes :O drool, they look a lot like the Jeffrey Campbell Coltrane. The leather jacket gives such a nice edge paired with those boots, but the skirt/dress- not sure gives it a whole new element.
2) Rain, it's actually been quite pleasant since it's been quite humid the past week but now I need the sun back. Sorry Rain!
3) This list cracked me up since I'm only going in to the equivalent to the US high school year this year so I guess I can make use of this list as a warning of not to do-s or not to worries.
4) Why can't I have such a clean proper room, I love the silhouette this room has with the shelves, the brick walls, the window right behind the bed,the bush and gahhh. Yeah this room is basically perfection although it kind of looks small. damn.
5)  I'm contemplating on whether I should ombre my hair in to a brown- red ish tint at the bottom, this picture just wants me to do it more even if the ombre trend is basically over. Oh well, I say hair trends are timeless ;) Ashley Benson is gorgeous.
6) I want this outfit so bad, but those shorts from American Apparel are just out of my price range. If you don't get this inside joke then you did not have have a full childhood/youth- this is my favorite quote in Mean Girls. Mean Girls is up there in my top 10 favorite movies- deffo!
7) This wardrobe would help my life so much, it's such a perfect organisation solution- must ask for a new wardrobe for Christmas. Oh and I want it exactly like the above, with all those converses and minimalistic shirts.
8) Autumn's coming up and this picture just describes Autumn perfectly, with the watch representing school starting and the jumpers/coats layered up represents such a classic autumn trend. Also the red nail polish looks divine on her skin tone.
9) Currently reading 'The Great Gatsby' after watching the film back in may and falling in love with the story line. What's better than a cup of tea and your favorite book?
10) Must live by this quote more- quit worrying.

Here's some more- which I'm not bothered to write about because I'm lazy and I want to drink tea, read the great gatsby and watch various documentaries/ movies/ tv series- supernatural, pll, gossip girl, trash. Oh and sorry for the alignment of this post- really messed up!
